Originally founded in 1918 as Densen Works to
manufacture wires, cables and copper products on the premises of
Hitachi Ltd., Hitachi Cable became an independent spin-off of
Hitachi in 1956. Since then, it has played a pivotal role within the
Hitachi Group as a manufacturer of electric wires and
cables-components essential for ensuring a stable power supply, as
well as reliable equipment for the information and communications
industry-while striving to develop and refine the new communication
and transmission technologies demanded by the information and energy
sectors.
Today, Hitachi Cable offers a wide range of products and
services, including products ranging from electric wires, cables,
and copper products to electronic materials, automobile parts, and
even information network devices and system integration solutions.
Its long continued expansion of operations internationally has given
Hitachi Cable production and sales bases in 44 locations around the
world, with the concomitant capacity to support client operations
from a truly global perspective.
Hitachi Cable Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (“Hitachi Cable Asia Pacific) is the newly
designated name for Hitachi Cable (S) Pte Ltd as of 1st April 2006. The change takes place
in conjunction with the merger of HITACHI CABLE (S) PTE LTD and HITACHI CABLE ASIA LTD
(Singapore), and HCS’ acquisition of HCAS THAI TRADING CO LTD (“HCS Thai Trading”).
With this convergence and strengthening of the Southeast Asia sales divisions,
Hitachi Cable Asia Pacific Pte Ltd has two primary aims for the near future: first, to
develop a stronger synergy and governance in the Southeast Asia region; second, to
strengthen partnerships with the various sales facilities under its purview.

Hitachi Cable Asia Ltd. (Singapore), established in 2001, specializes in the sales of wires,
cables, and other products. Their business aims are to implement sales and marketing
activities for Hitachi Cable group products in Asian market and to liaise with Hitachi
Cable worldwide factories bringing their quality service and products close to customers
in Asia.
HCAS Thai Trading Co. Ltd (“HCS Thai Trading”) is the sales arm of HCAS in Thailand. |
